Naturalista On A Budget-a Mikalla Story

There was this one time I thought I must use Shea Moisture products or else risk failing at this natural hair thing. This scared me then because if I failed I would have lost all my hair as I had done such a bad job in taking care of my permed hair that it was all falling out.Additionally all the naturalistas on YT that I watched then spoke so highly of them that I had a products list of all the products from this brand that I needed to have.

My luck is that I lived in Garowe for the first two years I was natural.Somalis have the most amazing hair effortlessly therefore the variety of hair care products in the market isn't too big as there is no demand.Otherwise  I might have been that naturalista who swore by Shea Moisture products with very long luscious hair and cried thinking of the amount of money I spent on hair productsπŸ˜…πŸ˜….

Natural hair has taught me consistency is what matters irrespective of the products you use.You just have to be sure that the products you decide to use have good ingredients and are mostly sulfate free.To say I am was  a product junkie will be an understatement.Every other weekend you will find me along the hair products aisle at Super Cosmetics, reading product labels and taking pictures for purposes of reading reviews. This to make sure I only buy products with excellent reviews and are guaranteed to work yet each time I go in to make a purchase,it is always an ORS product.

This one time as I was doing my Super Cosmetics rounds,I saw a conditioner going for KES 165 and thought OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! this my lucky day.I picked up the Mikalla conditioner and leave in conditioner without reading any reviews! because we all know I cannot resist a good bargain. Thus began my love affair with Mikalla's leave in conditioner and a like affair with the conditioner.I am now on my second bottle of both and because I think good things are to be shared here are my thoughts/experience with these two.

Mikalla Honey and Butter Conditioner.

This product smells really nice,it actually smells like honey and each time I use it my hair becomes so curly πŸ’•πŸ’•. It has good slip and is not watery. The only down side to it for me is that it doesn't do a great job at de-tangling my hair. Some days it does well and some days I feel like I miss the Dark and Lovely knot out conditioner.

If you are looking to try it out get the small bottle first and if you hair loves it then get the one liter bottle because it goes for KES 320 which is such a steal for a good conditioner and for that big quantity.

Mikalla Total Moisture Boost leave in conditioner

This leave in conditioner is EVERYTHING if you are looking for moisturized hair. It's thick and my hair becomes shiny/shinier every time I use it.It has shea butter and castor oil which are really good for hair. It truly is a total moisture boost. It makes my hair so so curly mpaka sometimes I think Yo! is my hair now fully 3 C and all my 4 A hair has magically become 3 C and so now I qualify as 'Becky with the good hair' πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ . I highly recommend this to any one looking a moisturizing leave in conditioner.

Have you tried any of the Mikalla products,if so which one? what are your thoughts on them?.Also what other good quality and affordable hair products do you know off, please share πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ.

    1. Their conditioner is heavenly😊😊 I can't even describe how velvety my hair is
As for the shampoo, I wouldn't say much about it

  4. I tried the honey and butter conditioner. I'm disappointed. I habe thick 4B hair and this conditioner doesn't do much in terms of slip and detangling.

    1. Its true I think Mikalla have changed their formulas and their products are currently not as good. What I notice now is its best to use good quality products. They bring the best results.Saru Organics is really good.
